This commissioned painting is from the anime 'Mai Hime'. Akira and Takumi only appear in some of the episodes. They are also 10 years older here. In John Biles' fanfic, Takumi (a cook) asks for Akira (a ninja) to shave him with her double bladed 'kunai'. The setting is in Akira's friend's bathroom, which I did Japanese style. Akira and Takumi
A commissioned traditonal painting of two characters, Alkanphel (back), and Imakarum (pointing) from the anime 'Guyver' and, the third, a fan character, Ingriam, by the client. Painted in watercolor Gouache on masonite 12 x 16 inches.
Alkenphel, Imakarium, and Ingriam
Commissioned art for the painting, of Vision (Reika Chang) from episode 7 of Bubblegum Crisis. BC was an anime from the late 80's, and early 90's. It is a cyberpunk style story set in MegaTokyo in 2033. Vision is featured as a vigilante looking to avenge her family's murder by a powerful organization developing Boomers - super mechas which are part of this future world. Vision is a singer and idol to millions worldwide in the anime. Gouache and Acrylic on masonite.

This is a revision of a 2005 commissioned painting for the webmaster of CG Shrines, whose favorite character is Cheshire-Neko from the anime 'Miyuki-chan in Wonderland'. She only appears in a short segment of it. Available as a print at Podgallery. Wacom tablet, Gouache on masonite.
Cheshire-Neko
Originally painted traditionally in 2001. I reworked the art later. Deedlit is the

This is the first commission by long time client Glenn Yearous, in about 3 years. She is Yui Hongo, one of 2 teenage school students (the other is Miaka Yuki) caught up in a strange book that whisks them to medieval China. I wanted to get a feel for the story, so I used the lattice motifs that appear in the anime, and I used it as a backdrop. This was done at size 8 1/2 x 11 and in watercolor gouache on masonite. Available as a print from Podgallery.
Fushigi Yuugi Yui
This second commissioned art from a fanfic based on 'Mai Hime'. It is set 20 years in the future. It features all of the offspring of the original MH characters. Unfortunately, the details are too long to mention here...They are standing before the Rosewood Academy, where they are students, in John Biles' fanfic. Photoshop 6 w/Wacom tablet.
Mai Hime: The Next Generation
This non-commissioned painting was intended to be a revision of Pixie's Flame Tornado, done in 2001. I changed that attack, and the name with it. Now available as a print from Podgallery. Photoshop 6 w/Wacom tablet.
Pixie Attacks
This is a reworking of the 2000 original traditonal painting. All that remains of the original of this Monater Rancher character villian, is the face, hair, and the basic idea-her blue power sphere used in her attacks. This art is available as a print through Podgallery. Photoshop 6 w/Wacom tablet.
Pixie's Little Blue
This is my view of one of the early days of Pixie's reign, before the MR series even began, as one of Moo's Big Bad Four. Her human slaves mined Mystery Disks that held monsters locked within - monsters which she then unlocked to serve Moo and be 'baddies.' This is a fanciful view of her with a pet that she might have kept. Acrylic and gouache on masonite.
Pixie's Pet
The third Sakura Kinemoto painting was inspired by a costume I saw at a Sci-Fi convention years ago, and I added motifs to recall Sakura's Japanese heritage. Acrylic on masonite.
Sakura in Fairyland
I adapted standard fantasy ideas to this vision of Sakura and Kero. This art is available as a print through PODgallery. Acrylic on Masonite
Sakura's Dragon
What do you get when you mix a demon that has nearly the power to destroy the world, and a 12 year old boy? A kid who gets about all he wants. This commissioned traditional painting is from the anime Slayers and, Fibrizo is a rather innocent looking boy, with a penchant for sadistic torture, killing, and occasional petty theft. He is shown in his cave lair, with a bit of dark magic. Watercolor gouache on masonite.
Slayers Hellmaster Fibrizo
Of all the Pixie paintings, this one is my personal favorite, as well as the last of the series. I wish that she had not 'died' in the second season of Monster Rancher. It was never the same for me after 'Granity' came into being. Acrylic on masonite.
Ten Seconds to Another Lost Disk
A commissioned piece done around 2004, from the popular 1980's anime Urusei Yatsura. As I recall, she was a classmate to the main character, Lum. She has a very calm manner, but formidable when angered. She comes from Neptune, and uses attacks based on cold and ice. This art is available as a print through Podgallery, Gouache on masonite.
