In the late 90's, I did a series of game book covers for Iron Crown Enterprise's series 'Silent Death' This was one of the last covers in the series, done in 1998. Warworld Codominium: Cyborg Revolt!
From the upcoming novel by John F. Carr and Donald Hawthorne. Commissioned and published by Pequod Press, 2013.The sequel to Warworld Codominium: Battle for Sauron (in this gallery), both stories take place hundreds of years after the original colonization of the planet Haven, in the mid 21st century. In the years since Man first colonized Haven, hundreds of new planets have been discovered and colonized. Haven has now become an outpost-forgotten, and the inhabitants have developed a near feudal society, with kings, barons, and clans, in a fractured society, at war with each other. The Sauron race, a group of genetically advanced supermen, bred for war, have been defeated, and their home world destroyed. The last surviving ship, the Dol Guldur, has 7000 of the Sauron race, including a Cyborg offshoot, even more deadly than the human breeds of Sauron. Haven becomes the ideal place for the Saurons to recolonize. The attack begins with thermonuclear strikes on most of the major cities, with some to be spared for their purposes. The attack is successful, but, for the first time, the people of Haven must fight for survival, and have some nasty surprises for the invaders...
